A quarterly note on what’s actually occupying my attention right now, updated as things change rather than left to rot.

Work. Deep in a cold-boot latency pass across a partitioned ECU stack — restructuring driver initialization order and the timing contracts that govern it. More on this once it’s shipped and I can talk about the parts that generalize.

Side projects. EROS is getting a scheduler rewrite now that I’ve read enough of the AUTOSAR OS spec to be dangerous. frEES is on hold while I figure out whether the spreadsheet-unification approach was actually the right call or just the first one I thought of.

Otherwise. Rebuilding the home media server on new hardware, which has turned into more of a networking refresher than I planned for. Also, badly, relearning the double bass — no promises this survives to the next update.
